To introduce myself.
I found good way to improve mood - to write short songs when I want to say something:
English is not my native-language just for some reason I use English for this.

I was gonna crosspost this in the 2 other Lennon communities I'm in but I don't feel well and I figured there are a lot of the same members anyway onto the news

For anyone that has comcast and ONDemand.... under free movies there is a documentary called "John and Yoko's Year of Peace". It's about the bed-in for peace and it's really interesting.

I was also wondering if anyone happened to see the special on E! I think it's called "40 (or 20 not sure lol) most horrifying hollywood murders". It's on quite a bit... I think Lennon is number 4. Of course I don't have to tell you that it is very sad but also very disturbing.

Peace all hope u can catch either...

7:23 pm - The Dreamsbox & Sinsbox Projects | share dreams and sins
jennychapman Hey all,

I was on blinklist and saw the following article about dreamsbox.com and sinsbox.com. Since its revelant to this community, I thought I would share it:

"Two documentation projects emerged this month to spearhead a new push in the Web
2.0 era for simplicity. The Dreamsbox (http://www.dreamsbox.com) Project seeks to
document the world's dreams, allowing for anonymous posting of dreams along with
the creations of free personal dream diaries. The Sinsbox Project (http://www.sinsbox.com) seeks to document sins and secrets, allowing for anonymous confessions and submissions of expressional art. Both projects allow for a unique rating system..."

Both projects are actually pretty addictive and fun. I love the fact that they're simple to use but their design kinda suck and sinsbox.com is a bit too dark and scandalous for me but nonetheless i'm addicted. As it turns out the guy who started the 2 projects went to school with me back in the days! Now I guess he's an internet junkie. haha! Anyways, please spread the word about these 2 projects to friends and family if you can through word of mouth or through your own postings. In general, I just think that these two projects are very decent in terms of what they're trying to do. Read the "about" page to learn how cool these people are.

8:04 pm - Backbeat Question

I have a question for any of you who might own a copy of Backbeat and also just might know some German. What are Astrid and Klaus saying to each other in all the scenes where they are speaking German? I wish the subtitles would say something other than (SPEAKING GERMAN).

Thanks in advance,

I just wanted to introduce myself...

My name is Alison and I am a huge John Lennon fan. This seemed like one of the only active and quality communities related to John Lennon, so here I am.

Hi everyone :)

What a nice community!

You know, I was thinking, I see that if you weren't alive to experience John or other such events, chances are someone personal in your life passed it on to you. I know I wouldn't know what I know if it weren't for my dad. I was a rather normal Christian until my dad helped me down a path I was always leaning toward -- don't look for good in your box: Look for good everywhere. Thus began a powerful evolution for me, and one story of life I have now is to be good to your children. If we can't believe they're the future and deserve our love and support - and especially deserve not to be brainwashed in any way for any cause - we might as well stop right now.

I was reading this and that from here and there, and it made me write this helpless help on my lj. I decided to post it here too.Collapse )

But I'm just talking. I can't tell you anything.

Is there any footage, anywhere, that has Stuart speaking? I've always wanted to hear his voice since watching Backbeat.

10:58 am - tooooooo strange~

Bagism begins with you~
Interactivity with other people without prejudice. Did ya get that? read it again, three, four or five or a hundred and five more times. However many times it takes you before the words become heavy as bricks. bricks... Tear down the walls, -O N E  L E T T E R  A T  A  T I M E- use the bricks that you've built your little castle of insecurities to build bridges between one another and stop ~@#~@$#@(edited for the easily offended) hurting each other. notice how even when you read that last phrase that the word (damn, this editing thing really sucks!) ~@#~@$#@ can sting? based on pre-assumed prejudices associated with something, anything, whatever. No one was raised in your home, you weren't raised in anyone else's home and no matter how much we'd like to, we can't walk around in one another's shoes. (besides, I'd look funny in Kay's high heels. *smirk*)

Each day of our existence we are given a beautiful gift. it's called life and it's worth living and more so it's worth living right. We're all guilty of it and I'll tell openly admit I'm no better. We're all a big old bag of issues and skeletons and we spend the majority of our life trying to unwind the string that binds us together in human form. People are so beautiful in ever manner of the word. People are amazing and the less you walk around under your umbrella, hiding from the rest of the world, the more you'll take notice of the pattern in life. it's a beautiful quilt meant to keep us all safe and warm. Life is your favorite blanket, shared with a friend. Life is bigger than your prejudices and make no mistake, karma's got'cher number, baby~ the major intellectually stimulating factor found in the majority of any organized religion is the golden rule~ How do you like to be treated? (shush, Tam, no whips and chains!)

So, where does it begin? The same place everything else in your world began, with a thought. Think before acting and act before it's to late. We're trained to lean towards societies unjust slide rule regarding beauty and power and I fucking hate it with every single dna strand within me. Make a mental note to focus on your insecurities regarding other races, sexes and play connect the dots and you'll find yourself staring into a picture of something ugly that happened to you or worse yet to someone you've read about no telling how long ago. Think of the worst thing you've ever done in your life... Just do it. Now IMAGINE someone else judging you by that and then they turn around and treat everyone else in life based on what you did?!? Nuh, uh, sisters and brothers.

Work on it, baby.
don't forget, it begins with you. welcome to the world I wanna live in peacefully~

just posted the above post after listening to a friend of mine make a mini-rant about sexism and prejudices in today's society and afterwards I said, "what the hell" (no, really, I said that...*wink*) and I did a search for bagism on LJ and lo and behold, here you are~ *tipping my hat and waving*
hello everyone

1:56 pm - Stu and Astrid

We finally got to the Beatles in my history of Rock and Roll class, anyways, I was reading the chapters from our two books and they had about two sentences on Stuart. The one said that Stuart married Astrid, the other said that they were just engaged, and I've read one other book that has said Stuart married Astrid.
I have always been under the impression that Stuart and Astrid were engaged and he died before they ever did get married.
What is the right version of this? Am I wrong or is one of the books wrong?

8:02 pm - Brian Epstein

My Beatles prof. brought this up, it was even in our 'text book' that there is some doubt that Brian may have committed suicide. What do you think really happened? I think he may have been murdered because of Nicky Byrne saying something about mysterious phone calls and also because Joanne Newfield (spelling?) said that she also was there through several scares and false alarms. What is everyone's view on this?

X-posted....in other beatle-y comms...
